We placed this cache on the evening of the lunar eclipse. It's not difficult, just a small amount of bushwacking.
The cache has a view of where the old Laguna Junction Cafe used to be located across the freeway. Splashman had his first introduction to CA from here as he sat on a bench waiting to be picked up to go to Laguna Air Force base. He thought he was in the middle of nowhere, and back then, he probably was! The Cafe is gone now, bulldozed to make way for the I-8 interchange at Sunrise Hwy. and I-8 in 1970. The cache is hidden a little ways up a hill with a nice view of Pine Valley. You can stay on a dirt road almost all the way to the cache, then a bit of bushwaking. There is convenient parking, it's where you put your snow chains on if it's snowing. Please rehide the cache as you found it and be careful around the brush near the cache so you don't get scratched!! Thanks! UPDATE: We replaced the cache about 50 ft. from it's original location due to the amount of brush that has grown up since first placed, so this should be easier.
