Great hike, awesome scenery & a short history lesson.
Local
legend has it that these woods are haunted. Keep your eyes
open; you never know what you may encounter. This cache will
take between 2.5 & 3 hours to complete. Bring water, food,
bug repellant & comfortable hiking shoes. Perhaps a change
of shoes & socks to change into after the hike would be
helpful as it is a fairly wet trek.
This cache is definately not stroller friendly. Please follow the
well marked trails. Bushwacking is not required or desired. Final
cache location is within metres of the trail.
The lat & long shown above will take you to a parking lot.
Lock up your car & seek out an informational sign nearby.
The location of the next waypoint (#2) requires a little math so a
calculator might come in handy. Latitude 1) Subtract 10 from the
year the house was built. 2) Divide this result by 5. 3) Divide by
1000 (move decimal 3 places to the left). 4) Add this number to the
parking lot latitude to get the latitude of the next waypoint.
Longitude 1) Multiply age of person by 19 2) Subtract 48 from this
number. 3) Divide this result by 1000 (move decimal 3 places to the
left). 4) Add this number to the parking lot longitude to get the
longitude of the next waypoint.
This waypoint (#2) will reveal a vitamin bottle containing the
location of the actual cache.
