This cache is located in a small Park near the old and famous land mark bridge on old Route 66. West of Sapulpa.
This is the second or eleventh stop (depending on which way you are coming from) on my 90 mile OK. Route 66 Geocaching Motor Tour. Since this is a Motor Tour you will not half to do much walking. This will be a good tour for the hottest part of summer or the coldest part of winter because you can stay close to the air conditioner or heater. Please take a lot of pictures on your tour and put them on the cache pages.
The cache container is a 6"x6" plastic container with a transparent green lid. The contents are items people would have had or listened to when travelling down Route 66 in the 30's, 40's, and 1950's. They are:
a 1940's Mercury Dime
an Oklahoma Tax Token (Mill)
a 1940's or 50's Silver Quarter
an Old Button
a 1940's or 50's Silver Half Dollar
an Old Marble
a Music CD of Dust Bowl Ballads by Woody Guthrie (it has a lot of Oklahoma stuff on it and sets a 1930's mood when driving down Route 66)
Please hide the cache back and make sure the lid is snapped on.
Have fun and happy hunting.
