Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Klingensmith Park about 1 mile from route 66 in Bristow.

This is cache number 5 or 8 (depending on which way you are coming)of 12 caches on my ninety mile Oklahoma Route 66 Geocaching Motor Tour. I had a lot of fun while hiding this one. The VFW Wake Island Memorial is nearby at these coordinates N 35 49.722 W096 24.351 They have all kinds of stuff out there to look at. Tanks, Anti Aircraft Guns, Artillery Pieces, a Rocket, and Memorial Stones for all of the Marines that fought and died on that island fighting the Japanese during World War II.
The cache container is a 6"x6" plastic container. The contents are items people would have had or listened to when travelling down Route 66 in the 30's, 40's, and 1950's. They are:
a 1940's Mercury Dime
an Oklahoma Tax Token (Mill)
a 1940's or 50's Silver Quarter
an Old Button
a 1940's or 50's Silver Half Dollar
an Old Marble
a Music CD of Dust Bowl Ballads by Woody Guthrie (it has a lot of Oklahoma stuff on it and sets a 1930's mood when driving down Route 66)
Please hide the cache back the way you found it and make sure that it is closed.
Have Fun and Happy Hunting.
