graytcote: I hate to archive this one, it was one of my favorites. Big thanks to everyone that visited it and to TruckerGeorge for checking on it. I will probably replace some caches on my Oklahoma Route 66 Geocaching Motor Tour since more and more of them are being destroyed and coming up missing.

Geocache Description:

This cache is along Route 66 between Stroud and Chandler.

This is cache number 7 or 6 of my ninety mile 12 cache Oklahoma Route 66 Geocaching Motor Tour. You will have to be pretty discreet here because of the traffic.
The cache container is a 6"x6" plastic container. The original contents are items people would have had or listened to when travelling down Route 66 in the 30's, 40's, and 1950's. They are:
a 1940's Mercury Dime
an Oklahoma Tax Token (Mill)
a 1940's or 50's Silver Quarter
an Old Button
a 1940's or 50's Silver Half Dollar
an Old Marble
a Music CD of Dust Bowl Ballads by Woody Guthrie (it has a lot of Oklahoma stuff on it and sets a 1930's mood when driving down Route 66)
Make sure you visit Bob and Ginia's three caches near Stroud Lake.
Please hide the cache back real good and snap the lid.
