This is number 30,and i wanted it to be special.I was going to take you all on a long hike...but this 68 year old back...gave out, so i am going to cheat..a little.
I wanted to start at the Elk pen and take the Appalachian trail all the way to Island Pond,
However that idea went out the window..with my back.So here is what we do.
Take Arden Valley Road..from the Tiorati circle,to N 41 15.865 W 074 08.307.
Thats a parking spot just off the road from the boat gate to Island pond.Walk onto the road to the lake. At N 41 15.669 W 074 08.426...take the white trail.
For those of you who have the guts to try it,start at the Elk Pen.Its a long walk,my GPS says its .66miles..as the crow flys,almost all up hill. Would like to hear from someone who did it.
These first 30 caches were fun,hope i can do another 30.
