Hogan Hideaway Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Prime Reviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Hogan Park of Midland, Texas - turn by the Sibley Learning Center and look for the City of Midland vehicle boneyard (ex-swimming pool) or something like that - the picture below is correct though!) No terrain change, nice little nature trail for West Texas. Do watch out for the mesquite thorns that could be on the trail, they are long and will go through tennis shoes...I stepped on one placing the cache.

Mayo jar colored black. This cache has been replaced with new coordinates "off the beaten path" (or so I hope!) Watch out for all things stickie and rattlie! FIRST RE-FINDER GETS A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN...but don't dispare the other "stuff" is neat too!

Once you find the cache (or before) take time to enjoy the nature trail and thanks for your patience with this cache and its owner - Enjoy!

"July 14 by magoosh I am Burr Williams, the education director at the Sibley Nature Center, on whose property the cache is located. I was wandering around with my summer camp kids and found the cache -- not as a GPS user, only as an explorer. The kids changed out a couple of things and we took it to the building to learn more about it. We will replace it in the morning. I also printed out the log for the site, and will look at the other regional sites. What a grand game!!!!Ya'll come see me, or send me an email!"

Magoosh and wife, Llana (geocache name) are now both avid geocachers! As soon as I get it scanned, hopefully soon....I'm going to put a link to the wonderful geocaching article written by Magoosh, thanks! As it goes, I seem to have lost the article, bummer - it was a good one.
