CAUTION; BEARS HAVE BEEN AT THE CACHE SITE; BE ALERT AND LET THEM HEAR YOU COMING AND THEY WILL LEAVE. There is a small, lonely cemetery near the Blandford/Otis town line that is seldom visited due to its remote location and rough access road. Many of those laid to rest here were children when they died. I've found very little history as to why they passed on so early in their lives. The cache contains a canister with some interesting information on the cemetery. ***Warning*** This cache is for experienced geocachers and outdoorspeople, people who are not afraid of the dark or remote woods and is for those who are up for something different. This is a night-time cache: FLASHLIGHT REQUIRED .Park at N42 08.770, W72 57.625 and walk .92 miles to the old cemetery at the listed coordinates. You can drive to the cemetery if you have an ATV or mountain bike. A 4 wheel drive vehicle should be able to go 3/4 mi. but after that the rocks and drop offs can be treacherous. You can park in one of the turn offs along the way. Don't go too far and get stuck. Do not block the dirt road as this is actually an unmaintained town road. The coordinates take you to one of the back corners of the cemetery. Shine flashlight into the woods behind the graveyard to locate 1/4" reflective thumbtacks on the trees at eye level. First marker is about 30' from your location. Follow the marked trees into the creepy woods until you reach the last one, approx. 175'. The last tree has 3 reflective tacks and the cache is chained to it with the hope it won't go missing. Backtrack to the graveyard by following more reflective tacks out. Please NO spoilers when logging your find. Feel free to send an email regarding your visit.
There are those that say, on certain nights, you can hear the children laughing........and sometimes you can hear them crying.......
