Burfoot County Park covers 50 acres of property with 1,100 feet of saltwater frontage on Budd Inlet. It has a large open grass area with a kid's play area, shelters, picnic tables, BBQ's and restrooms.
From the main park area, take the nature trails to the beach access which features beautiful views of the State Capitol and the Olympic mountains. These trails are sometimes muddy, and steps are provided in steep areas. Stay on the trail in the forest due to the prevalent Poison Oak.
Cache is at level ground just above the beach, so there is no need to climb the nearby slope. Please note that poison oak grows in the ivy and blackberry near the container. Please rehide the cache as well or better than you found it.
Tides higher than 10' may make it necessary to either scramble over rocks or wade to get this cache unless you park at the "High tide" parking coordinates and walk the steep paved road down to GZ.
