This cache is located on top of an ancient basalt volcanic plug. There is a hiking trail that is about 1.4km to the top, and the elevation change is 180m. This hike is short but steep. The view from the top will be worth it.
Drive 50 Km north of Prince George on Hwy 97. Just past Summit Lake, turn left onto Talus Road. Continue driving over the railway tracks and then take a right onto the Caine Creek Forest Road. Follow the road to a small parking lot. The trail is steep and rocky. The hike may be suitable for families, but use caution near the edges and wear proper footwear. Don't forget bug spray during the bug season. Originally hidden in 2003, this cache went missing in 2015. The new container is slightly smaller but in the same general location. Please re-hide it carefully out of sight .
