Privy to a View Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions

A drive-to cache with a great view. Save it for a clear day. You have a full 360 view. Fantastic in fall colors! Since the wind can be vicious here sometimes, . This cache has now been replaced with a bison tube in a new location code to the original site. Please camouflage the container after logging.
In years past this spot was visited several times daily by the National Forest Rangers that manned the fire tower that stood on top of the knob. Just start at the base where the tower stood and follow the beaten path to the old privy foundation. Before looking for the cache, stop and enjoy the view of the Sugar Grove Naval Base in the valley below. Update: When we first placed this cache, in 2003, the area was entirely clear, the stone wall around the privy was visible, and the step up to it. Now, the wall is concealed by growth and the step is hidden in grass and undergrowth. See the photo of how the step looks now. Sure wish we had taken a photo back in 2003!
