Located off Tumbledown Dick road in Brookfield.
The old-timers always said that long ago a feller lost his horse off the side of this mountain. The horses name was Dick, hence the name of the mountain and the old road leading up to it.
There are two ways to get there. From Brookfield take Moose Mountain Road then a right onto Tumbledown Dick Road (The Dick Road). You will have to park around N43 33.517 W071.06.021 and hike from there because the road becomes unpassable. The Dick road is to your left. Park before if you feel the road becomes too rough for you.
From Wolfeboro take Pleasant Valley Road to the end and park at N43 34.331 W071 06.916. You'll see the Dick road off to your right as you enter the parking area. You may see tire marks but my advice is don't try to drive any further than the parking area.
No need to bush whack stay on the Dick Road. The path up to the top is off the Dick Road and is wide you won't miss it. The body of water that you look down on from the top is Kingswood Lake or Cooks Pond as the old-timers call it.
Cache is an ammo box.
