Geocache Description:

Jones Brook Wildlife Area

Still a nice walk up into the woods BUT the dam developed a leak in the winter of 2004. Water is gone. Interesting look at what was a pond but now just a stream. Easy double up for the Cave at Moose Mt. Following is the original description of the cache and pond. Be sure to check out the before and after pictures.
Wanderr
Nice walk up to a remote trout pond. Fly fishing only. Be sure to finish the walk to the dam at the far end off the pond. On a sunny day hawks and turkey vultures can be seen riding the air currents that rise of the ledge face behind the pond. If you look up from the dam you can see the Cave at Moose Mt cache site. It's a steep climb up to it that can be very difficult (definitely a 4.5) but it can be done. Don't forget to check out other nearby cache sites that can be accessed from here. Park at 43.30.426'N 71.07.070'W.
