The Domain is named after Dicky Barrett, an earlier whaler, whose Maori wife lived beside the lagoon after his death.
From Roto Street you walk a bit
Then at a table you can sit.
The yellow arrow guides your way
Ten minute bush walk I would say.
Through native bush and very soon
You'll find yourself at the Lagoon.
Walk anticlockwise and you will find
A distant trig on the skyline
On the righthand edge of a stand of pines
And now my cacher you're doing fine.
Three metres behind at the base of a tree
The biggest one that you can see.
The cache it lies for you and me.
