A relatively easy cache find in a truly beautiful state park that
features a 249-ft-high waterfall.
There are two places to park before starting your search. One
parking place can be found on Latourell Road. There you find lovely
picnic places and one end of the trail. That could work, but for
the full beauty effect of the landscape, park at the parking lot
further east across the bridge, take the trail to the falls, then
continue on the trail and find the cache. Then proceed to the
picnic area at the end of the trail to relax for awhile if you
wish. Bringing a good picnic lunch and a good friend to hang out
with is optional, but definitely recommended if it is a sunny day.
As it turns out, (see logs) there are TWO trails to choose from
after you see the falls. If you want to add a steep, long trek a
second, hidden, gorgeous waterfall, take the upwards trail where
the cache is not. The downwards trail to the falls takes you to the
initial beautiful view and then to the cache beyond. The trail where
the cache is located is a relatively busy location.
