cache is the typical .50 cal ammmo can hidden in a canyon near the spring.
china garden spring is a true oasis in the desert near darwin, calif. a lush growth of cottonwoods is supported by the spring, which feeds into a small pool, about 20x30 feet. someone has added some goldfish to the pool.
the cache has the typical geocache stuff inside, including a treasure chest w/treasure, eye patch, squirt gun, p-38, hackysack, mini biner, 'tread lightly' bumper sticker, etc.
cache is just off the road from darwin to panamint springs. you will not normally need 4wd to reach the cache and return IF you come from darwin. do not attempt the road between the cache and panamint springs without 4wd; and this is means 4wd and NOT all wheel drive. if your car doesn't have a low range, you won't make it back to the cache if the road is blocked near the darwin falls area.
