The cache is located within the Q'emiln trail system near Post Falls City Beach. There are a few well groomed trails with many offshoots, great for the more ambitious adventurers. The area is a popular venue for hikers, mountain bikers, rock climbers...and of course, geocachers!
Not far from the our original Q'emiln hide, we moved this cache in order to expose the finder to some nicer views of the park and to give those who found the first one a chance to return! The cache is a 30 cal. ammo can stocked full of goodies for all ages. Also included of course is a log book and pencil, as well a geocaching note.
Depending on the route you take, there may be some steep elevation changes. There are plenty of well groomed trails throughout this 40 acre park, but to get to the cache, you will have to stray a little off the beaten path. Also, the park has countless smaller cliffs and few very tall ones. Take special care to watch the kids, the dog, and yourselves while trekking along!
Q'emiln Trail Map
Pronounced 'Ka-Mee-Lin', and meaning '"throat of the river", the park is named after a Coeur d’ Alene Tribe village that used to be near the falls.
