This cache is located in an established park a brisk walk away from the cruise ship terminal. There is no bushwacking required on this caching hunt as the cache is just a short distance from the established trail system.
This park is one of the oldest in Juneau. It used to have the only swimming pool in town, an outdoor one at that. An 'Outdoor Pool in Alaska -- Crazy you say!, well I used to swim in it. The pool stoppped being used when the Augustas Brown indoor pool was built.
Enough trivia, look low to the ground in a tree root mass for this breadbox size rubbermaid cache container.
This cache contains many interesting treasures as well as two travel bugs. Please help the little critters on their way.
The GPS reception in this area is a bit wierd and difficult to get but keep at it. For help check the hint.

NOTE: After much looking I decided to place the cache back in its original location. It has now been camouflaged to help make it harder to seem. PLEASE!!!!!!!! re-hide it well in the place you found it so the mugglers won't get it again. If they do I will archive it and not replace it in the park. Thks.... The new coordinates should get you to within 25feet of the cache but again getting a good reading even on a sunny day is kinda iffy.
NOTE 2: (07/03/05): Just wanted to leave a note to let future cachers that there are two ways to this cache. A high road that also involves a lot of steps and a low road which take you by the Governor's Mansion that is quite a bit easier. Better for those that are not the mountain goat type.
