This is a hike cache that will take you into the innards of Dupont Forest for a loop of a total of about 3.7 miles. The trails are well marked and well traveled (watch for horse droppings) and the terrain change is very moderate. The cache is located near the historical Thomas Cemetery
Directions:
Take Sky Valley Road off of Dupont Road and park in the lot on the right at coordinates N35 12.685 W82 35.277, just past the farmhouse on the right. Out of the parking lot head South onto South Parking Lot Trail and proceed onto Tarklin Br. Road followed by Thomas Cemetery Road. At about 2.1 miles from the parking lot at coordinates N35 12.031 W082 36.017 you will be at the entrance to the cemetery. This is a good place for lunch. Note the private eating area across the trail from the cemetery for those that are anti social. The cache is behind the cemetery and covered by Mountain Laurel so you may lose lock on your GPS.
The cache is a 5x12x3 inch plastic container covered with a transparent cover and containing selected trinkets.
