Top of Szár mountain is at 743 m height above the sea. Near the summit there is a hollow tree, the cache is inside the hollow.
Szár mountain is part of Mátra mountains, about 100 kilomteres NE from Budapest. The trail-marking coloured blue lead trough the mountain from Kékes (1014 m, highest point of Hungary) to Sirok.
