This cache is part of the Lewis & Clark Trail Series. It is located near the ridge line overlooking a small bay. This area is known for its great walleye fishing, and the park also has nice camping spots. The cache was created in cooperation with the Fort Stevenson State Park.
Fort Stevenson State Park is located about three miles south of the town of Garrison. For additional information see the park’s website: www.ndparks.com/parks/fssp.htm
Park at the Prairie Dog town. There is no marked trail.
The cache is in an ammo can and contains a copy of the Journals of Lewis & Clark with passages marked referring to this area as Lewis & Clark saw it during 1805. Please do not remove the copy of the Journals of Lewis & Clark.
