Geocache Description:

In Los Padres National Forest near Frazier Mountain. 4WD recommended, but may not be necessary. 7250 ft. elevation. Short hike from parking.

The cache formerly known as "The El Mirage Cache" has been archived and the remnants (along with a new container and some new stuff) has been moved to the Los Padres National Forest.

What-a Cache is just past the start of the What-a Trail motorcycle trail. This is a short yet great motorcycle trail with some fun parts and some tricky parts (such as the steep slope I nicknamed "What-a Hill") along the approximately 1.7 miles to its end at Tejon Trail. If you have a motorcycle I highly recommend you ride all of What-a Trail.

To get to What-a Cache, from the I-5 take the Frazier Park exit. Follow Frazier Park Road west and follow signs to the Chuchupate Ranger station. At the ranger station continue past the gate up the paved road. After Chuchupate Campground the paved road will turn into a dirt road, continue up until the junction of East Frazier Road and turn right. At the next junction (a half mile before the top or Frazier mountain), turn right again, and when that road joins another trail to the left (you might miss it), turn right/straight. Follow this road all the way to the end (do NOT turn right at West Frazier Tie). At the end you will see the What-a Trail sign.

The cache can also be reached via the Tejon motorcycle trail from Hungry Valley SVRA. It would be approximately 6 miles from
the start of Tejon Trail in Hungry Valley to the cache.
