This has always been our favorite look-out spot for Emerald Bay. Located at 6975 ft., this area stays fairly cool on a hot day making this a great relaxing point on the Eagle Trail to look over Emerald Bay and Lake Tahoe.
Be sure to pack a lunch, sit back, relax, and enjoy this wonderful area! You won't regret it.
There are also some other cache's in the area including further up the trail at the gorgeous Eagle Lake. If you made it up to our virtual cache, you may as well make the final leg of the trip up to one of the many lakes in the Desolation Wilderness that feed into Tahoe.
