Located on the Errislannan Peninusla in West Connemara just South of Clifden, this cache is for Travel Bugs only.
At the end of their epic flight across the Atlantic Alcock and Brown landed in a bog to the south of this memorial (Shaped like the tail fin of an aircraft) I have visited the landing site but it is really boggy (Soft!) and wet.
I have moved this cache to a new site on the other side of the road (Clifden side) and gave it a brand new box.
The site is now in honour of the replica Vimy flight which took place this summer. I had the pleasure of having a drink with Steve Fossett and the rest of the crew. I will try to include some photos at a later date.
