! M E D U S A ! Traditional Cache

Welcome to Medusa. One of the oldest geocaches found in Queens. This was my first hide and only remaining geocache (all the others are gone now). It has a reputation of being difficult to get to during the summer months, but that adds to this cache's lore and the reason it has been able to withstand the test of time. To get to this cache you can find parking at 40 44.763 073 48.217

This is a regular size cache located in a well know Queens park next to its corresponding golf course. It's hiding spot no longer resembles its namesake as I had to move the cache to a nearby hiding spot.

The paths will take you very close to it, high overgrown vegetation, and thick tree cover will make life difficult.

The first to search for the cache looked into Medusa's eyes and became its guardian.

GOOD LUCK.... and please remember to replace the cache exactly as you found it so it can resist plunder. Watch out for people, many power walk and ride bikes through this area.
