Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the "Wreckreator" disk golf course at Farragut state park.

The Gang and I come out here quite often to throw a disk or two. Its a great place to have some fun! You will find this cache to the left of throwing pad number sixteen. Each hole on the course has a story, this hole is called, "World War II Veteran". Why? Because, when you are facing in the right direction, you are looking at a 100-foot tall water tower built to provide water for the base hospital facilities during that time. The upper 35 feet (from the upper door way to the top) is the water tank that holds 225,000 gallons - 900 tons of water! The lower 65 feet is a hallow concrete support structure. Two of these tanks were built on the base... (Many of you have been to the other... "Tanks for the Memories"). The town of Bayview just North of the tower uses this one.
