Geocache Description:

Near a paved road with a parking area. Microcache, may take some time to find.

This Microcache contains a logbook.

Found near this cache is the new "Wee-Chi-Tah" statue. The pieces were built largely through donations, over the course of several years, by Jack Stevens, a local artist.

The Indians are crossing a river, and the woman has gone out to scout the depth. When asked by her husband how deep the water is, she responds "Wee-Chi-Tah", or "Waist-Deep". This is the legend the Wichita River, and Wichita Falls, are named after.
