A hike along one of CT's Blue Trails in TriMountain State Park.
TriMountain State Park in Wallingford offers some shaded woodsy hiking along the Mattabasset trail. We almost stumbled (literally) across a young fawn near the cache site - she had frozen to the ground, only moving after determining that we meant no harm. You can park at N41 26.318 W72 44.134, which is where the Blue Trail crosses the road. Bushwacking the entire way is an option, as the woods are fairly open, but the trail is certainly an easier way to go. The cache is hidden a few hundred feet off the trail, but the going isn't too rough.
