Darwin Springs Road winds from Darwin down through several deep canyons rich with colorful geology to Darwin springs and then on to Panamint Springs on the pavement, where there is a cafe,rv park and fuel. It is a very scenic road to go on. It's not too long to be arduous, but it definately requires 4-wheel drive. I wouldn't attempt it without 4-wheel drive... The cache is placed near a road that goes up to a mine on the hill. For those that desire a more narly road, try that road up to the mine on the hillside. It should prove to be more challenging than the road your on. Watch out for snakes around the cache. See if you can find the spring(well) on the right if your going towards Darwin about a mile or so before you get to the pumphouse with the power lines going to it. I was amazed to find so many aquatic type flowers(white) growing near the well
