Geocache Description:

This cache is in the newly opened La Vista Park in Godfrey, Illinois. There is a paved path for walking or biking 90% of the way that is mostly downhill for the 1/2 mile. But you do have to come back up.....

Hours for this park are 1/2 hour after sunrise and 1/2 hour before sunset. It is a 1 mile round trip from suggested parking at N38 56.122 W90 14.314. No motor vehicles allowed beyond gates.....and please respect posted rules.

There is nice childrens organic garden at the beginning of the trail.
Cache is an ammo box placed 200 feet up a fairly steep hill off the trail at the "bridge"....Please be careful especially coming down--I dont recommend for small children.
Older kids will be fine though.
I had a hard time keeping a GPS lock at actual cache site but it should be fairly easy to find with the clues.

This is our first cache placement and invite comments or help with a GPS lock if anyone is able. I am close enough to make necessary adjustments immediately

When you near the bottom of the downhill grade follow the path to the right--this is where pavement begins to end. Please observe any no tresspassing signs if you stray the wrong way.
