Climb Snoqualmie Mountain, the cache is at the summit.
This is a somewhat difficult cache to get to, but it does not require any technical climbing skills. That said, it does require you to walk/climb up a very steep climbers trail. This trail does not waste time with silly things like switchbacks, and at times resembles a creek as much as a trail. It is rough and steep, but fairly well maintained (no wind fall to climb over). The distance to the summit is only about 2.5 miles from the parking lot, but you’ll go up 3200 feet in that distance.
Should you attempt to go here, the rewards are spectacular, as Snoqualmie Mountain is the highest point in the immediate vicinity. The list of other mountains you can see from the summit is extensive, here’s a partial list:
Silver Peak, The Tooth, Chair Peak, Kaleetan Peak, Big Snow Mountain, Three Fingers, Mt Pugh, Sloan Peak, Glacier Peak, Guye Peak, Alta Mountain, Rampart Ridge, High Box Mountain, Mt Stuart, Mt Hinnman, Lundin Peak, Red Mountain, Kendall Peak, Mt Adams, and of course Mt Rainier.
Park in the Alpental Parking Lot (you’ll need a Trail Park Permit). From here your GPS should say you’re about 1 mile from the cache (but oh what a mile). The summit is visible from the parking lot. About 50 feet to the right of the Snow Lake Trail Head is a small unmarked trail heading off into the brush. This is the Snoqualmie Mountain Trail, follow it to its end (2.5 miles and 3200 feet up), and you’ll be at the cache site.
NOTE: This cache is not really a "5" difficulty, but it's what the original cache owner entered, so I'm staying with it.
