Skippy!
This is a relatively easy, yet
well concealed cache in a Southside St. Petersburg park. Park entrance
is off of Country Club Way South, off of Dr. MLK St S (formerly 9th St S).
There is a generous amount of
parking and the park is also Bicycle friendly with over 6 1/2 miles of trails
that are bike accessible.
The cache can be reached by
mostly via a dirt or shell trails. On the way to set the cache, we saw a
numerous birds, a gator, and about 5 tortioses. There is also another
cache that we placed in the opposite end of the park around a year back, the
Wandering Gator Cache. There is a $2 charge per person to enter the
park, but it is a true gem - well worth your time and money!
Cache name comes in the tradition
of re-using consumer containers to placed caches, such as Cookies!,
Fromage!,
Parachute
Man's House, Nuts!,
Mustard!,
Couscous!,
and now Skippy! If you haven't figured it out, you're looking for a
clear peanut butter jar with a blue lid, around 8" tall.
Please consider re-using a container for a cache and not just throwing it
away.
Also, please try to take a grocery bag and "cache in & trash
out"
Please find the cache, swap
items, and sign the log. Log and pen are contained in the cache.
Happy Caching!!!
