Geocache Description:

This is an easy two-part micro in a quaint, historic town. Parking is convenient (except when the playhouse is in use, and that would not be a good time to find this cache). You will not have to walk far to explore this part of town and find it.

Pewee Valley is a small town, just outside of Louisville. It's early growth might be attributed to an 1850's stop on the Louisville & Frankfort Railroad. Today, the area is partly noted for it's architecturally significant collection of residences.

Mapping features of the website will tell you how to get here very easily. You'll need to cross the railroad tracks in your car and park. (You will not need to go anywhere near those tracks again until you are driving home). The coordinates above will take you to your first clue. You will explore a portion of the "business district" that is all within about 500 feet.

Part I- Historical questions

A. Annie Fellows Johnston once said, " I felt as if I had stepped back in time when people had leisure…" There was a year attributed to the publication of this quote. Subtract two from the last digit and note this.
B. There is a year listed on the sign on the caboose? Note the first digit.
C. The Central Ave. Historic District was listed on the National Register. Add five to the first digit of the year in which this occurred.
D. There is a number "planted" in front of the town hall? Note the first digit of this number.
E. Add that first digit to the second number that appears at the same location.
F. Add the first and last digits.
