Takayama City, Japan, about 110km (70 mi) NNE of Nagoya
Locate the large plaque in a clearing at the coordinate location. Walk due West from the plaque to the edge of the clearing, where a faint path leads downhill into the woods. A few meters down this path, you will see a number of old moss-covered logs. The cache will be found near the logs.
Takayama is often called "Little Kyoto" for its interesting temples, shrines, museums and shops. It is located in a beautiful mountain area, and the train ride to Takayama through the mountains and river valleys from the Nagoya area is highly recommended.
The cache is about 1/2km from one of the main sightseeing and shopping areas, San-machi Suji, though the walk is uphill. So do some shopping, find the cache, and return to town for a nice ice cofee.
