Keei Point. Popular surf area with locals.
It's a dirt road leading into the cache, driving carefully most cars can make it unless modified (low-riders). From here you can walk up the dirt road, but I prefer to walk along the rocks at the waters edge (surf conditions allowing of course). When you arrive at the point (waypoint 1) you have the opportunity to collect benchmarks tu2536 & tu2537. If you remembered to bring your camera take your picture here with the bay in the background and post it along with your find. As you look across the bay towards the monument imagine what it was like on January 17, 1779 when Captain James Cook first sailed into Kealakekua Bay. It is said that there where so many canoes that a person could walk from Cooks ship to the shore without getting thier feet wet. OK, on with business-go find the cache. After you’ve found the cache you may want to continue on to the waypoint "rock pond" for a refreshing dip, or go swimming off of the rocks back close by where you parked (again, only if ocean conditions allow).
Please help yourself to a CD of Hawaiian music as long as they last. They are all the same so please limit yourself to one.
