Geocache Description:

A nice spot for either a full day walk or just out for the afternoon.

If you're reasonably fit, this cache is do-able as an afternoons walk from Heathcote rail. Otherwise plan it as a day walk. There are several access tracks to the location, the choice is yours. You could possibly do it by starting at one point and exiting at another. Or as a return walk from one enterance point. There are excellent views from the cache site, especially in the evening and when there is a thunderstorm down the coast. Take a camera with you. Sunrise and sunset from this location can be quite spectacular. Mountain bikes are banned in this area and in any event you'd spend more time walking and carrying it than you would riding. The cache is a white plastic drum about 5litres in size, there are half doz. goodies and a log book inside. I forgot to leave a pencil sharpener with the log book pencil, so it might be an idea to take one with you. The cache is hidden, but it shouldn't be that hard to find. Visit the aboriginal carvings on the way, but don't walk on them as they are eroding fast enough as it is. Carry water with you. There is drinking water not far away at the falls. But very little water else where, especially in summer. If you approach from the west or southwest you will come across a couple of creeks that have excellent swimming holes in summer. Have fun and enjoy the walk. Charcoal
