Due for completion in Autumn 2003, this "farm" of 23 Wind turbines each rated at 1.5Mwatts will power up to 18000 SA homes.
The towers stand 68 mtr's high, with the top of the blades reaching 100 mtrs above ground level.
An interesting feature is the small "winglets" located on the end few metres of each blade, these turn independently to slow the main-blade down for stopping.
The best view is from slightly further up the track, except cache locations where a bit scarce, hence it being over here !
