The cache was moved on 13-Aug-2005! New cordinates are posted
above
The new cache container is a clear plastic 1.5 gal container. We
left a note in a mico at the old location with the new coordinates
for those who haven't updated their GPS
Also, in the off-season the park is closed to vehicular traffic
but there is parking near the road and it is not a long hike to the
cache.
We named it for the *Looney* Canadian coin that's part of the
original contents and the name of the park (Lincoln Twp. Beach) in
which the cache is hidden. Start in the parking lot near the beach
and follow the trail on the east side of the lot.
Lincoln Twp. Beach is on Notre Dame Trail right off I-94 exit 22
(John Beers Rd). Head west on John Beers just to the west of the
exits. South on Notre Dame will take you to Grand Mere State Park
(see GC47B6 "What A View") and North about 1/2 mile gets you to
Lincoln Park Beach. If you get to The Chalets you've gone too
far.
Enjoy the quiet beach, small boardwalk and many picnic sites
near this cache.
