This cache commemorates our 1st year of geocaching, as well as our 150th find.
We wanted to come up with something new. Something no one had tried before (at least here locally). We've all heard it said "Trade Up, Trade Even, or Don't Trade". Well, we're going to see just how good you guys are at it. The point of The Cash Cache is to make money…
The rules are simple:
1. Trade whatever you want, just don't take more cash than you leave.
2. Hide it better than you found it. The cache is in a very obvious hiding spot right off a trail, and we wouldn't want anyone stealing our treasure now would we?
The container has pockets for coins, bills, cache cards, and logbook. There is also a "micro cache" on the outside for small trade items (most signature items that we've seen will fit just fine). We want to see how long we can go before someone gets greedy and takes it all. Call it an experiment in human nature. As an added bonus, when we get to $50, we'll host an event cache and put the money towards pizza for everyone. Trade as much or as little as you like.
Note: The coordinates from our yellow etrex put us right at the hiding spot twice, and about 40 feet East a third time. If you can get a more accurate reading, post it and we'll update our coordinates. The cache is wrapped in a black garbage bag to keep it dry. We may replace this later if we're able to find a waterproof container that works better.
"Take Some… Leave More!"
PS: There's a $2 bill to make things interesting for the first finder. Just remember to leave at least $2 to replace it. We also dropped off Kiwimonster's trinket so someone else can rack their brains trying to solve it.
