Geocache Description:

Hike is less than a mile on a fairly flat surface. Parking is at Starvation Creek, exit 55 off I-84.

The Columbia River Gorge was formed by a series of epic geologic events. Near the end of the last Ice Age, about 15,000 years ago, the gigantic Missoula Floods swept across eastern Washington and down the river corridor. These 1200ft deep floods scoured cliffs high above the riverbed creating one of the world?s greatest concentrations of waterfalls from tributaries left hanging above the river. The Columbia River is the only sea-level passage through the Cascade Mountains, and is one of the few east-west canyons in the world. There are five major eco systems, from west to east: wetlands, western forests, cliffs, pine-oak woodlands and grasslands.

Take the trail toward Mt. Defiance. Cross the log bridge at the waterfall. When you reach N45° 41.167 W121° 42.192, take the low road.

Cache is a large ammo box with Gorge and Geocaching items.
