This cache brings back many fond memories. I grew up in this area and Peters Rock (local name) was one of my many play grounds. The surrounding views have changed in the past 50 years but the Hermits foundation looks the same.
This cache was originally placed 6-15-03 and has been moved due to muggles. Previous finders may re-log this cache.[:)]
Park at the end of Hermitage LA at N41*20.615 / W072*51.208 and Follow the trails/dirt road. Some may prefer bushwhacking but much harder than the rating given. At N41*20.381, W 072*51.225 follow the red dot trail to the cache site. The last 100 feet requires some climbing but not to difficult, even for little ones. As you pass N41*20.55/W072*51.172 you will see the remnants of a Hermits house. His name was Peter, hence the local name of Peter’s Rock. Rabbit Rock is listed on the maps!
Not too many trees on top due to past forest fires and great views in all directions. See attached photo’s.
