Geocache Description:

The title reflects the dominance over the cotton towns.

On a good day (and there ain't many) you can look down and across to the cotton mill towns of Accrington, Hapton, Burnley, Nelson and Colne. The Cotton Belt. Behind to the footwear centres of the Rossendale Valley.
For those who like to drive to a cache and walk a maximum of 50 yards, this one is not for you. For the adventerous, the rewards are well worth the effort. At the start, you can follow the Burnley Way markers from either direction, initially the paths are good but, alas, fade to nothing - so just head for the top. A trig pillar awaits. The cache is in an ammo box.
