Geocache Description:

10 miles W of Flagstaff. State HWy 180 to FSR 245 to FSR 171. Painted plastic jar.

Update: The amount of people going to the lava tube increases every year, and due to the increase in traffic and the fact that there are no facilities at the lava tubes, I feel that the old location is too close to the lava tube itself and has become an area unsuitable for a cache. For this reason I have relocated it. The new location is farther away and in a safer location.
This cache was placed by 15 elementary students as part of a weeklong Discovery Camp. We camped in Cottonwood and took several day trips. Earlier in the week we found one cache at Dead Horse Ranch State Park and one on the West Fork of Oak Creek near Sedona. They are excited to follow the action our geocache gets. We have a little dificulty getting readings due to the trees in the area. Please advise if readings need to be adjusted.
Update
This is a very busy area. Please keep this in mind when you replace the cache in it's hiding spot, please hide it well. There are people out here constantly until the Forest Road is closed for the winter. SO please keep this in mind and hide this cache very well. Thanks.
