Geocache Description:

A big thanks to the geocaching team jrbicher for replacing the broken container on this cache!

This is our 48th cache and is located in the Northern Black Hills between the cities of Lead/Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon, with a view of 4 states. Terry Peak lookout was the highest lookout point in the Northern Black Hills, but is no longer in use. There is a nice deck and viewing platform with restrooms at the site. You will want to do this cache on a clear day and bring your binoculars for and incredible 360 degree view of Spearfish, Bear Butte lake, Lead and its many mining buildings, Harney Peak to the south, Inya Cara Mountain in Wyoming and this is only a small amount of what you can see from the over 7000 feet elevation!

To find this cache- travel west of Deadwood towards Cheyenne crossing.  Turn north onto terry summit road. This well maintained gravel road is suitable for all vehicles.  Park at the parking lot and follow the short trail to the lookout deck,  After you have finished looking around and enjoying the view then go find the cache.
