Secrets of Newcastle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SKWERL: This was Acorn the Squirrel's first hide and he is sad to see it go. It is a nice location tucked away in Newcastle. But apparently enough non-cachers crawl around on the rocks to make it disappear a few too many times....

Geocache Description:

Nice little walk from downtown (?) Newcastle. In this area, you are likely to see some growing evidence of Newcastle's history.

Newcastle is a small town in the Sierra foothills, just west of Auburn, CA. It has an interesting history that includes a role in both agriculture and railroading.

You'll probably have to go to school to get here, but the trail is really not a secret.

The cache is a small (less than two quart) clear/blue Rubbermaid container. It includes a logbook, pen, Geocaching note and a variety of trade items.

This is Acorn's first hide, so suggestions are welcome, but be gentle since he is a sensitive squirrel :-).
