Rattlingcrew: Sounds like this one has disappeared. Maybe I'll place another in that area later. Thanks to all who searched and succeeded. Glen

Geocache Description:

Nice easy cache in a pretty location!

You will be attempting to find a mostly gray ammo can, the original contents included two policeman prayer coins, one wacky eraser, four medicated bandaids, one splashball, two Hot Wheels, one leather FGFORD leather coaster, one Where's George Dollar, One Moose on the Loose TB, and one Basco TB. The cache also has the traditional ink pen, pencil, logbook, and geosheet.

We wanted to place the cache on the off road trails at the RV park. The rules have changed, as Dodge claims, most of the trails are not available for vehicles over 50" wide. We wanted a nice lakeside view, but it was not to be. Do take time to continue east into the off road park and check it out, some pretty awesome country!

I was looking forward to giving Rex and Mitch a ride they would not soon forget in the little rattler, it was not to be though.

The park is on the west side of Milford Lake and is open to the general public. We used to camp in School Creek, which is the area the off road area is in. Be safe, have fun, enjoy the scenery.

In this off road area about 20 years ago, I rolled over a jeep with a paper sack on my head. That is an experience! It was an off road rally, the driver drives and the passenger tells him where to go. My passenger simply said I was going to hit a sandhill, not stop, left or right. The next thing I know, I am on the way over!

The cache name, Acme, came from a small settlement that is now covered by the lake. The city of Milford was moved by the Corp of Engineers to the current location on the east side of the lake. Acme is just a memory now.
