Located in Lava Trees State Park, near Pahoa
This cache is located in Lava Trees State Park. When lava moved
through the forest, it came into contact with wet trees, which
cooled the lava before destroying the tree. After the tree died and
rotted away, it left 'lava trees' behind. To see these interesting
formations, take a visit to the park and check them out. Please
note that you are in a dense rain forest here, BRING BUG
SPRAY! The mosquitoes attack early and they attack often.
