2-12-2017: It seems like the video feed is clearer in the morning than the afternoon, assuming there is no fog
This is a challenging webcam cache and is the only multi-webcam-cache that we know of. Your goal is to get a picture of you at four of the seven Santa Cruz Harbor webcam presets. The coordinates will take you to the Main Channel cam position. The position will need to be manually tweaked to get the walkway into view, so this is actually one of the more difficult positions to get now. The new webcam (updated in 2017) is now a live feed, with user controllable positions so no need to wait 15 minutes between pictures. This should be able to be accomplished on a mobile phone. The rule now is to take FOUR different pictures, of which one of them has to be the Jetty Zoomed position (it zooms up nicely on the jetty and beach). Be as creative as you want with the other camera positions. The Harbor Beach position is easy, but can be moved so that you get a better close up (see my example above). Once you gain control of the camera, you can double click to move the camera around. I suggest playing with this before you head out so that you can pick the places you want to focus in on. Wear brightly colored clothes so that you stand out easily. The difficulty is a 4 because you have to get yourself in the proper place and you should be able to tell that the same people are in the four pictures (they should be wearing the same clothes). The terrian is a 2 because of sand, stairs, and jetty rocks.
Have a friend load this page and then click on one of the images above to get to the live cam page. When you get the picture you want, have your friend click the camera icon, which will take a snapshot image (like the ones I posed above). You would then need to save the image from the page. You need to post four pictures to claim this find. Have fun!
A special thanks to Jif of TeamJiffy who helped us test the camera locations out.
Another special thanks to cachecrashers who sent me the link to the new camera page.
An additional tanks to bflentje who explained the new live video camera to me.
