Geocache Description:

In Gatineau Park, nice morning's walk

The cache is very close to a Canadian geodetic survey/cartographic historic (1905) point of interest. The walk is steep and rocky at times, but always on a path. Look for the beaver at the start of the trail. Bring along some water for refreshment and a camera perhaps for some of the beautiful views of the Ottawa Valley looking west. The trail is a nice circle tour.

This cache is not accessible in winter (except for serious winter hikers/snowshoers), but fall would be a spectacular time to visit it.

The cache was changed Aug 26 to an ammunition box as the previous container was allowing water in.

The cache, and contents, are a birthday present from my two sons, they will have to find it when they are in town next!
