Geocache Description:

Available in winter.

A plastic box with a log book, a pencil and the Geocache info sheet in English and Norwegian.

A visit here gives you a fantastic view towards Oslofjorden and Skagerak, in fine weather. And if the wind is strong, you will see numerous fountains made by the sea splashing onto the cliffs. A very fine place for swimming and yachting in summer.

The view

In Norwegian we call this point Verdens Ende, ''the End of the World''. Come and see why!

This place has both an interesting geological and military history, both clearly visible. These sleek, glacier polished stone hills and its millions of rolling stones were shaped until 10.000 years ago, as the last ice age came to an end.

And only 70 years ago the Germans made this area a part of their ''Festung Norwegen''.
